The problem

Dariel López Ramos runs Auto-Movil Clean & Detail out of his van. There is no shop to walk into, so the website and the phone are the whole storefront.

Detailing has one question in front of every job, and it is the price. It is not a single number either: a full detail on a sedan and the same work on a large truck are two different afternoons. Most detailing sites answer it with "call for a quote", which puts the work of asking on a customer who was only comparing options, and puts Dariel back on the phone explaining the same ranges all day.

His customers in Tampa are split between Spanish and English, and almost all of them arrive on a phone.

What I did

  • Built a request tool into the home page: the customer picks the vehicle size and the services, the estimate adds up as they go, and the page writes the message for them to send by text or WhatsApp
  • Put a starting price on every service, stated as a range that moves with the size of the vehicle, so nobody has to ask first
  • Organized the services the way a driver actually thinks: maintain, renew, paint and protection, add-ons
  • Wrote the site fully bilingual, English and Spanish, each version written natively rather than translated
  • Kept the owner in front: the copy says plainly that Dariel is the one who answers, and the gallery shows real cars he has worked on in Tampa
  • No booking calendar, on purpose, because a one-man mobile operation cannot honor slots a calendar promises. Booking is a text, and Dariel confirms the day and the final price himself
  • Ongoing maintenance keeps the services, the prices and the gallery current
