Accessibility Statement

Why this matters
A well-built website should work for everyone. That includes people who browse with a screen reader, people who navigate with a keyboard only, people who need stronger contrast, and people who feel unwell when things move too much on screen. Accessibility is not an add-on; it is part of doing the job right, and it is part of how Roger de Oca builds every site through DEOCAS LLC, starting with this one.
The standard
This site treats WCAG 2.1 level AA as its accessibility baseline, and every new page and feature is built and reviewed with that standard in mind.
What is implemented on this site
- Full keyboard navigation, with a skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.
- Visible focus indicators, so you always know where you are.
- Color contrast that meets AA requirements across text and interface elements.
- A correct heading hierarchy, with exactly one h1 per page.
- Descriptive alt text on images that carry meaning.
- Form fields with clear labels, and error messages that explain what to fix instead of just announcing that something failed.
- Focus management in multi-step forms and in the mobile menu, so keyboard and screen reader users never get lost between steps.
- Animations that respect the reduce-motion setting on your device. If your system asks for less movement, this site listens.
- All content available in both English and Spanish.
Honest fine print
Accessibility is ongoing work, not a box that gets checked once. Standards evolve, content changes, and new pages get added over time. Some barriers may exist that have not been caught yet, and pretending otherwise would help no one.
Found a barrier?
If any part of this site is hard to use with your setup, reporting it genuinely helps fix it. Write to contact@deocas.us and describe what happened and what you were using: browser, device, and assistive technology if any. Every report gets reviewed, and fixing real barriers takes priority over almost everything else on the list.
