Web Design in Florida
I work with businesses across Florida, from Tampa Bay to the clients I have never met in person. The work is the same wherever you are: a website that loads fast, says plainly what you do, and gives a customer one obvious way to reach you.
Based in Tampa, serving all of Florida and clients nationwide. I read every message myself and reply within one business day.
I design and build websites for Florida businesses that need more customers, not more complications. My name is Roger de Oca. I am based in Tampa, I have been building sites since 2021, and I currently maintain fourteen client sites plus two of my own, across eight industries. Every one exists for the same reason: to turn a search into a phone call.
Florida is not one market, it is many
A roofing company in Cape Coral, a dental practice in Coral Gables and a jewelry store in Tampa are chasing completely different customers, in different seasons, with different competition. What they have in common is the moment that decides everything: someone pulls out a phone, searches, and picks whoever answers their question fastest.
That moment is where most business websites lose. Not because the design is ugly, but because the page is slow, the services are buried, or the phone number is three taps away. Fixing that is not decoration. It is the difference between a site that costs you money every month and one that pays for itself.
What I build
- Sites that load fast on a phone, because that is where nearly all local searching happens
- Pages that answer the three questions every visitor has: what you do, whether you serve them, and how to reach you
- Bilingual sites in English and Spanish, each version written for its audience
- Structured data and clean architecture, so Google understands who you are and where you work
- Accessible builds that meet WCAG 2.1 AA, which widens your market and reduces your legal exposure
Every project is verified against real performance targets before launch, and every site I have built since 2021 is still under active maintenance. Anyone can hand over a website. Keeping all of them fast, secure and current, month after month, is the part that actually matters.
How working together goes, wherever you are
The process is built to work across the state without wasting your time. We start with a short call about your business and what the site needs to accomplish. I come back with a plan and a design direction before anything gets built, so there are no surprises halfway through. You review drafts on a private link, send one consolidated list of changes, and we adjust.
There are no office visits required and no paperwork marathons. If your business is around Tampa Bay, meeting face to face is simple whenever it genuinely helps: coffee near your shop, or a walkthrough at a job site. For everywhere else in Florida, video calls cover it comfortably, and clients in other states work exactly the same way.
The cities I know best
Tampa Bay is home, and it is where I know the market, the competition and the customer best. Each of these pages goes into what a website actually has to do in that specific city:
- Web design in Tampa, where I live and where most of my clients are
- Web design in St. Petersburg, for the independent shops, studios and practices across Pinellas
- Web design in Clearwater, for the service and tourism businesses that win or lose the customer on a phone search
Anywhere else in Florida, the process is identical and runs on video calls.
Industries I know well
Since 2021 I have built and maintained sites for medical practices, construction and roofing companies, painting contractors, welding and fabrication shops, insulation companies and local retail stores. These are businesses where a website has a job to do. It has to answer real questions quickly: do you take my insurance, do you handle my kind of roof, can you fabricate this part, are you open right now.
Knowing the industry shortens the whole project. I already know what your customers look for and what makes them leave, so we spend our time on your business instead of on explaining the basics to each other.
Honest expectations about search
Local and statewide search work on different timelines. A page can be fast on launch day, but ranking is patient work: it takes months, not weeks, and a brand new domain takes longer than an established one. Anyone selling you page one by next month is selling you something else.
What I can do is build the foundation properly and tell you what is realistic for your industry and your area. That means a fast site, content written for what your customers actually search, business information that matches everywhere it appears, and a Google Business Profile aligned with the site. That combination moves a local business up the results and keeps it there.
What it costs
Starting at $1,497, one time. That is a floor rather than a set price, because two businesses with the same page count rarely need the same site. What moves the number is how many pages you need, who writes the content, whether the site is in one language or in English and Spanish, what it has to do besides inform, and whether an existing site has to be migrated. You get the full number in writing before any work begins, so you always know exactly what you are paying for and what you are getting.
Ongoing maintenance starts at $99 a month, with the exact fee quoted against your own site, since a heavier site costs more to keep healthy. It covers hosting and SSL, backups, security updates, uptime monitoring, domain management, the changes agreed for your plan, and ongoing SEO monitoring and optimization.
If you run a business in Florida and your website is not bringing you calls, or you do not have one yet, that is a fixable problem.

What I build for businesses here
Common questions
Do we need to be in the same city to work together?
No. I am based in Tampa, and the whole process runs on video calls, email and a shared preview link you can open on your phone. Most of my clients prefer it that way, because it fits around their working day instead of interrupting it. If your business is around Tampa Bay and meeting in person helps, that is easy too.
Which parts of Florida do you work in?
All of it. Tampa Bay is home, so that is where I know the market best, but a website does not care where the office is. I work with businesses anywhere in the state, and remotely with clients in other states.
Do you build websites in Spanish?
Yes, and the Spanish is written natively, not run through a translator. Florida has millions of Spanish-speaking residents, and a site that speaks both languages properly reaches customers your competitors are quietly missing. One of the sites in my portfolio is a behavioral health practice built entirely in Spanish.
Can you help my business rank in my own city?
That is most of the work. Local search is won with a genuinely fast site, pages that match what customers in your area actually type into Google, accurate business information everywhere it appears, and a Google Business Profile that matches your site. Nobody can honestly promise a number one spot, and you should be careful with anyone who does.
