The problem
A mobile welder gets found by someone standing next to the problem. A gate that will not close, a trailer that cracked, a handrail that came loose. That person is on a phone, in a hurry, and they are asking two things: do you come out here, and what is this going to cost me.
Most sites in the trade answer neither. They open with a stock photo of sparks, list eight services with no prices, and put the phone number in the footer.
What I did
- Led with the two answers: mobile service across Tampa Bay, and a free estimate, both above the fold
- Named the service area as an actual list of more than twenty municipalities rather than a vague radius, with a line inviting a call if a town is missing. Someone searching "welder in Wesley Chapel" needs to see Wesley Chapel
- Built the gallery as the proof, because in this trade the finished weld is the argument. Gates, structural work, trailers and canopies, shown as they were delivered
- Put the owner and his years in the trade on the page, since a person letting a stranger into their yard is buying the person as much as the service
- Laid out the five steps from first call to final walkthrough, so the price and the process stop being a mystery
- Added Shop Notes, a section for short posts from the job. It gives the site something new to say between projects, which is what local search rewards
Ongoing maintenance keeps the gallery growing and the service area accurate, and local SEO work targets the towns one at a time instead of chasing "welding near me" as a single phrase.
