The problem

Delbis Fernández came to England as a circus acrobat, stayed, started a family and drives a lorry near Basingstoke. On four platforms he tells that life without filters: what it takes for an immigrant to provide for his family here and in Cuba. The audience is there. What a brand looking at him needs is a place to take him seriously beyond a social profile: the story, the platforms, the rules he works by, and a way to start the conversation.

The site had to do that in Spanish first, because his audience is Spanish speaking, and in English, because the brands are not, and it had to say plainly that he only works with brands that respect society.

What I did

  • Built the site around the brand conversation: the story from the circus to the road, four platforms with one voice, what he does and does not accept, and one contact
  • Fully bilingual, Spanish first, with the English version written for brand partners rather than translated for them
  • One action on every screen, "work with me", with the videos a tap away for anyone who wants to see the content first
  • Left room for the marketplace he is preparing, without promising it before it exists
  • The whole process ran online, from Tampa to England, and ongoing maintenance keeps the platforms and the offer current
